With The Promulgation Of Law No. 180-01 On November 10, 2001, By Which The National Council For The Regulation And Promotion Of The Dairy Industry (Conaleche) Is Created, The Dominican Republic Joins The Countries That Have A Governing Body In Charge Of Establishing A National Dairy Policy, Concentrated Among The Main Actors In The Sector With The Objective Of Achieving Dairy Self-Sufficiency. The Legal Framework Has Been Strengthened With The Constitution Of The Republic And Its Conception Of Social And Democratic State Of Law, Law No. 01-12 That Establishes The National Development Strategy (End) And The Sectoral Plan Of The Ministry Of Agriculture, To Which Conaleche Is Attached As A Decentralized Institution.
